Candied Lemons

Candied fruits are a great natural decoration for all your bakes. And candied lemon or orange slices taste great and are super soft, you dont need to get rid of the peel! They are lovely for christmas baking but work even in summer or as decoration on cupcakes and cocktails.


Ingredients:

- fresh Lemon- or Orangeslices

- Sugar


Method:

Cut fine slices of your lemon or orange, we used a lemon his time. Place them in the pan on high heat and sprinkle sugar generously on top. When the sugar starts melting turn your lemons and make sure they are covered on both sides. Let them cook in the bubbling sugar until the peel softens. That takes approx 4-5 mins. Make sure they dont burn. Take them out and place each slice on baking parchment as they are very sticky.
